Meet Andy, Customer Support Engineer

Meet Andy, our Customer Support Engineer. With a background in CNC machining, Andy oversees customer enquiries, purchasing and quoting for machining contracts. Andy is responsible for making the planning stages of a project become a reality on the shop floor and ensures our customers receive an exceptional product and service. We recently heard from Andy, who told us more about his role and why he chose a career at Albacom.

“After working as a CNC Machinist for much of my career, progressing to an organisation that is known for its custom workshop and CNC machining capabilities was an exciting next step. I’ve now been with the Albacom team for just shy of three years, and in this time, I’ve worked my way from Machinist to Customer Support Engineer.

“No two days in my role are ever quite the same! My primary duties include offering support to the workshop team, liaising with customers to make a request a reality and supporting the business development team by generating new leads. I enjoy a challenge and appreciate the opportunity to develop and broaden my skillset through Albacom.

“My role sees me primarily based from the workshop, and I often offer hands-on support when needed. Whether it’s assembly, mechanical or electronics, I’ve been lucky enough to work across all divisions of the business and enjoy championing my colleagues. We have a tight-knit team at Albacom, and it’s fantastic working alongside such an experienced and knowledgeable group of professionals.
